beat camera I have ever owned I have been a Nikon user for over 38 years starting when I was 17 with my nikkormat FTN. Over the years I have had many Nikon camers including an ELW, FE, N80 and a D200. I have had the D7000 for less then 24 hours but already I can tell it is the best of the lot. As much as I kiled the D200 this camera is far advanced yet seems easier to use. The color saturation is much deeper and vivid. 2 de noviembre de 2010
WOW I just got my D7000 friday night. By the next day I was taking videos, using old AF 70-300mm (none VR lens) hand held telephoto shots with ease. I was working the camera. Took my kids to the zoo, forget face tracking, I was track lions, seal's, my kids, anything that was moving. The colors were outstanding. I put the electronics throught the ringer. I am floored with what this camera can do. The camera is a beginner - semi pros choice. I haven't used the pro lenes on it yet, I can't wait. 31 de octubre de 2010
Had to return it... I had to return mine due to burned out red, green and blue pixels in the video mode. No matter how nice the camera is, it isn't successful as a camera with video, without the video - one really can't have red spots on Sally's face unless she has smallpox, eh? Before you buy and keep your cameras, I suggest you run a simple test of your video. Go to Live Mode and Set the ISO to 1000 and the shutter to 100 and put a lens cap on and take some video. It should be all black. If it isn't. Take off the cap and open the shoot. The spots (colored pixels) will be on your video. It only takes one pixel a in inopportune place to ruin a picture. Unless you do something about this, check it out and if it happens to your camera, and don't return it, it won't get corrected. Black should be black. Color should be recorded as the right color, not with bad pixels over them. 30 de octubre de 2010
Very Professional for Beginners This camera is a GREAT camera.... It is great for semi- beginners. If you need a camera that has great warranty, reasonable prices, and travel checked.... this is the one!!! The camera is well powered with a well supported back and case... It is handy for traveling because it is not too big and great for pictures for memories. 27 de octubre de 2010
In a word: Excellent I am admittedly a newcomer to the DSLR. I had a D2H for a few months, and have used a D3 several times, but this is the first DSLR of my own. I do NOT feel intimidated by the D7000. It is smaller in the hand than the D2/D3, but has a SOLID feel and nice weight that doesn't tire you out. The menus and options, while plentiful, are intuitive and easy to manipulate. I have captured some great photos using Auto and Scene modes, and also been able to flip to Manual mode and manipulate the shots to get exactly what I want. One selling point that really proved to be a wise "test" for a new camera is that my wife, a point-and-shoot veteran but DSLR newcomer, can pick it up, turn it on and literally point and shoot and capture STELLAR images in Auto and Scene modes. Not too many DSLR's can offer that kind of diversity with relatively little user input. I LOVE it and will only like it better as I become more familiar with all the settings and options. The ONLY drawback, and it is a relatively minor one, is battery life. It's NOT terrible by any means, but I feel it could be better. Once I am able to buy a couple of spares, this will not matter. 25 de octubre de 2010
Awesome This is very Awesome Camera for Semi Professional level. 24 de octubre de 2010
Awesome! My first DSLR. As a user of the F5, which I still own, I wanted a digital camera for the birth of my first child. Originally, I was set on the D90 (D5000 would have worked had it not been for all my non Silent Wave AF lenses), but no where in stock. Patience wins out and I purchased the body in the 18-105 kit. Pros: -Will AF older non SW lenses. -Top information LCD screen. As I am used to the F5, this feature is important to me. Just easier than having to turn on the back LCD all the time. -Great layout and quick to access features. Changing white balance and ISO can be done without going into the menu system. -2 SD cards slots. Simple but awesome feature. I use it with 2 SD cards and one receives JPEGS and the second cards receives RAW. -Depth of field preview button. -Battery life. Will get better with the grip MB-D11. -Will accept older non digital flashes. I use my SB-28 on it through a manual setting and it works great. -Magnesium body and you can feel it. -Pop up flash is great for those that need something out of the box or just for fill flash. -Fast autofocus with the older AF lens. Sounds a little louder than the F5 though, but speed is comparable. -AF is quick with all lenses. Doesn't appear to "hunt" as the D5000 did. Cons: -No surprise here, but as with the D5000 and D90, for someone with bigger hands, it is a tight feel. I believe the MB-D11 will alleviate this issue for me. -Metal construction gives it more weight that the D5000. Some may be turned off by this. Bottom line is that this thing already takes some fabulous pictures. I use it with my 80-200/2.8, 85/1.4, and now the 18-105VR/3.5-5.6 (actually surprisingly good lens, still wish it had a metal lens mount). 22 de octubre de 2010
Awesome Awesome. Hard to beat for the money. Complete flexibility. This camera makes me want to compose a photograph instead of just taking a picture. If in a hurry and you throw it into auto mode, and still get amazing pictures. 19 de octubre de 2010
It was a WOW from the begining. Where do I begin; I was at awe when it was announced a few weeks before Photokina and when the first set of previews started showing up I knew this was going to be a great camera. At first glance a lot of people may wonder if they should upgrade from a D80, D90, D5000, or even the D300s. Well in my opinion I say YES it is worth the penny. For me though I decided to switch from my Canon 7D back to Nikon for the 7th time and here's the reason why: 1. Durable and weather sealed body 2. 1080p Video (with Auto focus and 20 min clips) 3. 16 MP New and Larger sensor 4. Nikon's Creative lighting 5. New and Improved in camera editing (stills and Video) 6. 6 frames per second in burst mode The list just keeps going on and on.... I have always believed that Nikon was ahead of the game when it came from a feature set but now I see that they have taken some of the competition by storm. I did notice one minor issues and that's the auto focus will hunt at times even when you are locked on a subject and they are barely moving. This is not a major issue due to I still manual focus when I'm at a shoot. I took some samples at a park with the Nikkor 18-105mm VR lens that I only adjusted light and color. This is the best p 19 de octubre de 2010
amazing dslr from the second i laid hands on it i have been amazed, this is definitely a piece of work!!! very user friendly for auto and manual modes, as well as the full auto focus video. i definitely am glad i waited for this to come out! 18 de octubre de 2010
excellent features...one concern Coming from a d80..to a d90 and now to a d7000...i'm very happy with the feature and size and functionality of the d7000. My only real concern up to this point..and i've tried primes as well as various nikon zooms...is that the image sharpness is now where i expected...and is not where the d90 was. Granted the jump in pixels and not sensor size may play a part..but I expect better in sharpness..i've had to up my picture control settings for each selection up to 8 or 9 to get it close to what i feel is an acceptable level. I shoot weddings..portraits..still life, etc.. so i'm pretty aware of sharpness expectations. Other than this gripe..which i'm curious to see what profession reviews will say...regarding the subject. But that aside...kudos to nikon. 18 de octubre de 2010

A Gem Just finished charging the batter on my new baby, configured it and took the first few shots. First initial thoughts (I've been shooting a D90). 1. While configuring the camera I very much appreciated the fact that it now can stamp "Artist" and "Copyright" info the exif data (D90 could not) 2. Focusing is greatly improved over the D90 and is very reminiscent of the D300 system. My camera now seems to hunt less, the focus coverage is fantastic and 3D focusing seems like a very reasonable option now (in the D90 it just didn't cut it). Can't say if overall the focusing system is = or better than the D300 with any certainty as I have not shot that camera too much, but to me it seems very equivalent. 3. I like having a fully featured intervalometer built in to the camera. It even has a setting to start the camera at a later time (awesome). (D90 could not) 4. Feels very solid and more "grippy" than the D90, eventhough the weight difference is very small. 5. The brighter, larger viewfinder on the D7000 is (only) marginally better than that on the D90 (I was expecting a bit more here). BUT the new focus confirmation indicator is BRILLIANT, I'm going to enjoy this so much for macro work! 6. Shutter... big improvement here the sound is much better dampened and less intrusive on the new camera. 7. ISO... Not much of a difference at 400. Noticeably less noise on the D7000 at 1600, a world of difference at 3200 and 6400 and shockingly good at even 12,800 (although the noise reduction eats quite a bit of detail). 8. My old MF Ais lenses LIVE! Focus confirmation works perfectly! as does metering/exposure. 9. Video... Don't really care much so eventually I look at it, but too much fun doing other things now. 10. . Construction: better than D90 but I have known D300(&s) and have worked with D300(&s), and sirs this is no D300(&s). But this is maybe the only area I can see where it falls short in comparisons with that very fine camera. As for me I am 100% happy about this purchase. It is a SIGNIFICANT improvement for a (at least this) D90 user. I suspect it could be a great upgrade path for any current DX shooter (yes including D200/300 folk) and absolutely BRILLIANT for anyone still shooting with anything else in the DX world. 17 de octubre de 2010
Perfect This camera has been great thus far (one day). I love all of the features and love how the camera feels sturdy in my hand. I got mine at Best Buy on Sunday the 17th of October, first thing in the morning. I love the camera, but I'm just waiting for the battery to come out so I can buy another one for long hikes/trips. 5/5 Stars, 10X better than the Canon 60d (my friend's brother has one). 17 de octubre de 2010
Great Camera Great camera. Versatile and powerful. Easy to use and the video is amazing. 17 de octubre de 2010
Definitely an upgrade from my D90 I was lucky to get this camera from BB before it was even release! I could not believe it, I guess they'll get on trouble for that. The camera feels better than my D90, and the screen looks better too. The AF feels faster, and the shooting sound tighter. AF on video works really good too. I love the double sd card slots, my RAW go to slot 1 and HD videos to slot 2. I will recommend this camera to any D90 user. 17 de octubre de 2010
aseome The best camrea ever. it can zoom in for a super long range 17 de octubre de 2010
The best DSLR in the world! This is the best dslr camera possible. It is the succesor to the D90 which was the best camera till now. 15 de octubre de 2010
Fast, Clear, Excellent It feels very solid when you hold in your hands unlike d90. The features is very closed to D300s. The function is simple and easy to use. It is very perfect shape body thanks to magnesium-alloy body. The processing speed is amazing and the image is surprisingly perfect. I recommend this camera for those who want to have good camera and who want to produce good image. 15 de octubre de 2010
Blurry I've been a photographer for over 15 years and buying this has been good, and bad, the pictures are very blurry so i have to use my editor on my computer to fix it! at first I wondered, maybe my hands just shaky so I set the camera on a flat non moving surface and set the ten second time and still the same results! this happens about ever 5 times out of 11, it worry's me to find a very good object and only have one chance to take a picture and it be to blurry. I sent in an email so you could get a better thought of what i'm speaking of. 6 de octubre de 2010
best of the best :D i love this camera its the best. I'm going to an academy for photography and love it :P 29 de septiembre de 2010
This product is amazing Nikon has truly innovated the entire field of HDDSLRs. This camera has pretty much anyone could want at an extremely reasonable price point. I'm astounded. 29 de septiembre de 2010

An AWESOME Camera This camera has everything anyone of any skill would want. All the settings, dual SD card capability, and Megapixel quality puts this camera at the top of my list for intermediate photographers. Overall a VERY good camera!!! 23 de septiembre de 2010
way better than.... any canon product... ever. I would highly recommend this to my friends and enemies alike. 23 de septiembre de 2010
Phenomenal I was given this camera as a test trial. I LOVE IT! stunning photos, with unique resolution. Personally, i have a D3X, D80, and D90. And this camera surpasses all in price in quality. If you need a great camera for any occacion i totally recommend this camera! 21 de septiembre de 2010
AWESOME best camera for the price i lovee it its 1 of the best~! 21 de septiembre de 2010
Nice tech can just say about very good technical specification hope it will show good results! 20 de septiembre de 2010
Excellent beginner or semi pro camera This much awaited for successor to the D90 has earned deep respect already! The rugged sealed body is a much needed upgrade as is the added megapixel image size. The 150,000 cycle adds longevity to an already pro style body construction. WIth 39 well distributed focus points every photo will be exactly as planned. Adding a second memory card will help insure nothing gets lost and gives the ability to record in several formats instantly and seperately or perform instant back up. The movie feature is improved allowing stereo sound capabilities and also greatly improved lens continous focusing with an AF type lens, a much needed attribute. The D90 was probably the best camera of its class ever built to date but this D7000 adds everything else that ever could be asked for by greatly improving every aspect of every setting and option. It remains perfect for the total amature to the seasoned pro rendering the best photos possible. Very reasonably priced this unit is within the grasp of everyone of any skill and need level. I can find no negatives to offer which is unusual for me to say. 19 de septiembre de 2010
Very good camera Great camera (but not a full frame). Very good product. 18 de septiembre de 2010
